The rain producing westerly waves that entered Pakistan on Sunday evening, are now active everywhere in the South Asian country, making the weather chilly.
The fresh rain spell with snowfall over the hills is expected to last for next two days, resulting in more rains and snowfall.
During next 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in upper Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in upper FATA and South Punjab, according to weather pundits.
“ More rains are expected over Punjab including the provincial capital Lahore on Tuesday. Chilly weather may prevail across Punjab and other upper parts of Pakistan,” says Chief Meteorologist, Muhammad Riaz.
Two more rain producing systems are expected over Pakistan during the month of December.
With snowfall over the mountainous areas and shallow foggy conditions, temperature is likely to further drop in coming days but there would be some sun on Wednesday.
Pakistan meteorological Department has already issues a seasonal advisory regarding the month of December. According to the advisory, slightly above normal rainfall in the upper parts and normal rest of Pakistan is expected during December.
