After a delay of five days, the federal government has announced the revised prices of petroleum products for the month of August, cutting the per litre price of 92-RON petrol by Rs 1.8 and High speed Diesel by The government has cut the prices of petrol and high speed by Rs 2.5 .
“The new prices will become effective on Saturday midnight,” Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told a press conference in Islamabad..
Petrol will now be sold at Rs69.8 per litre and diesel at Rs77.4.
As per tradition, the prices of petroleum products are revised on the last day of every month. But due to ouster of Nawaz Sharif government and installation of new administration, it was delayed for five days.
