Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif along with a high level delegation will arrive in Islamabad on March 11, Monday on a three day visit to Pakistan. According to Pakistan’s Foreign office, Javad Zarif will hold meetings with President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Asif during his stay in Islamabad. Javad Zarif will also hold meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. He will leave for Karachi on March 13 from where he will return to Tehran. A delegation of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture will also accompany the Iranian Foreign Minister. A business forum as well as a set of bilateral meetings have been planned during the visit of the Iranian mission to Islamabad and Karachi. ICCIMA’s news portal has called on interested economic players from the Iranian private sector to register with the chamber, ahead of the visits. Last Iranian year’s (March 2016-17) data shows that Iran exported goods worth 795 million and imported around $365 million worth of commodities from Pakistan.
