Pakistan’s Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal visited the Combined Military Hospital in eastern city of Sialkot to express solidarity with the injured of cross-border Indian firing.
Condemning the unprovoked firing by Indian forces, which claimed six lives and injured 26, Iqbal said India had showed cowardice by attacking innocent civilians living along the Working Boundary.
The interior minister said the ceasefire violation by India across the Line of Control and Working Boundary was aimed at diverting the world’s attention from Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and suppressing the freedom struggle there.
Six civilians were martyred, including four women, whereas a total of 26 people, including 15 women and five children, were injured along the Working Boundary in Charwah and Harpal sectors, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said..
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has strongly condemned the incident and expressed deep grief and condolences with the bereaved families.
