Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has warned that India is planning to launch yet another attack inside Pakistan between April 16 and 20.
” Foreign Secetary has informed permanent five members of United Nations’ Security Council (UNSC) of Pakistan’s concern regarding Indian aggression,” Qureshi told a news conference in central Pakistan town of Multan on Sunday.
He said that Islamabad doesn’t want New Delhi to commit the folly of attacking Pakistan.
Pakistan Foreign Minister’s statement has come two days after US defence officials told Foreign Policy magazine that Indian’s claim of downing Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft was incorrect.
Qureshi urged the major powers to play their role instead of being silent spectators.
“International community should take notice of Indian’s irresponsible behavior,” said the minister.
The minister recounted the the recent events that unfolded between Pakistan and India after Pulwama attack and said New Delhi’s claim of downing F-16 has turned out to be incorrect.
He said Pakistan released captured Indian pilot Abhinandan as a gesture of peace.
He said that Pakistan acted responsibly even in the face of Indian aggression during the month of February, adding that the entire world witnessed irresponsible attitude of the Indian government as it claimed to shoot down Pakistan’s F-16 jet in a brief dogfight, which was proved as false by the United States officials.
He urged the Security Council to play its role to deescalate the situation as Indian forces are violation cease-fire on a continuous basis across the Line of Control (LoC).
He said that after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan, the foreign office had decided to share this information with the people of Pakistan as well as the international community immediately as it is our policy to keep the Pakistani nation and the outer world informed.
