With an objective to safeguard doctors and nurses from infection during the course of examination of COVID-19 positive patients, a Lahore-based autoparts company has launched a face shield.
“This has been developed to protect doctors and paramedics from direct shower of virus containing droplets when they are examining patients who are coughing or sneezing,” says Chairman of SPEL Group, Almas Hyder.
This personal protection disposable shield may work in conjunction with masks, respirators, glasses, goggles and other personal protection equipment items to reduce risk of infection.
” The product may also be used by workers in in fresh food and farm sectors ,” claims Almas Hyder.
The gadget of light weight can be washed with soap and water for future use.
