To assess the security arrangements for the upcoming tour of star-studded World XI cricket team, a security team of International Cricket Council (ICC) has reached Lahore, the eastern city of Pakistan.
According to media reports, Pakistan Cricket (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi will brief the team about security arrangements in Lahore, specifically around and inside the Qaddafi Stadium .
The team will check the security of teams’ rout and also visit Safe City Authority’s office.
The world XI under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis will play three Twenty20 Internationals for the Independence Cup against Pakistan under lights at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 12, 13 and 15 September.
The international team comprises 14 players from seven Test playing countries. No player from India has been included in the squad.
