Pakistan successfully test fires Nasr Missile

Pakistan on Wednesday announced the successful test fire of the Missile, Nasr with an enhanced range from 60 to 70 kilometres and flight maneuverability.

“Pakistan has successfully undertaken a series of training launches and tests and trials during the current week for validation of new technical parameters of ‘Nasr’,” the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, said in a tweet

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed the training launch of short range surface-to-surface ballistic missile ‘Nasr’.

Speaking on this occasion, Pakistan Army Chief congratulated the scientists for the testing  of the missile, saying that “Nasr  has put ‘cold water’ on ‘cold start’. He referred to Indian doctrine of Cold Start.

The Nasr is designed to be used against Troops, Tank regiments and other ground based units. It has a range of 60km and is capable of a payload of 0.5–5 kilotons.
